The Helicarrier was several hundred kilometers from New York.
A few minutes later, Tony and Leo arrived in Manhattan Island, New York, one step ahead of the others.
High in the sky, Leo looked down at Forest Road in Queens, which he had not seen for several months.
"I'm going to check on Aunt May and the others. I'll catch up soon."
With that, Leo turned and flew downward.
Tony watched Leo leave, then flew toward the newly completed Stark Tower without hesitation.

At the same time, the launcher above kept rotating. The floating Tesseract in the middle was surrounded by a pale-blue energy shield.
'Sir, we've shut down the Arc Reactor, but the Tesseract is already supplying power continuously.'
Tony had not yet reached Stark Tower when J.A.R.V.I.S. reported this after carrying out his command.

"Too late. It can no longer be stopped. It's going to show us an entirely new universe."
Dr. Erik shouted with fervent faith.
Tony raised both hands, and the Pulse Cannon struck the Tesseract's energy shield.
The shield absorbed the energy, then spat it all back out the next moment, doubling it in return and causing a violent explosion.
Erik was knocked unconscious to the side, while the Mark VI was pushed several meters away by the enormous energy wave before stabilizing again.
"Sir, it's composed of pure energy. We can't penetrate it."
"Yeah, I noticed!"
Tony looked at Loki, who was watching him from below. "Plan B!"
"Sir, the Mark VII hasn't completed its live-fire testing."
"Then forget about it. We're running out of time!"
Tony answered
