"The unstable components in the serum seem to have been neutralized," Lena said, looking at the report on the screen before her.
Beside her, the female scientist looked at Lena in amazement. "You actually got him to cooperate!"
"He has dreams of his own. I told him they could come true." Lena smiled as she watched Chen Haoran running on a treadmill inside the lab.
The scientist caught on. "You gave him a name, didn't you?"
"Everyone wants to be remembered by the world. He's no exception," Lena said with a smile.
"Fortunately, no one's actually going to call him that!" the scientist said, looking at the Blazing Flame Hero codename in her hand.
"You're right. His platelets stopped the Extremis virus in the serum from burning."
"Incredible. The others will be delighted to hear this. Nicely done, Lena."
"Unfortunately, we still can't replicate the Extremis virus. Killian died before we could finish our collaboration with him, and we still haven't managed to reproduce a perfect version of the Extremis virus," the scientist said regretfully.
"Otherwise, our serum would be even more successful. Nothing we can do about it. Go draw his blood."
The scientist glanced at Chen Haoran and spoke coldly, as though he were nothing more than a tool.
With a light tap from Lena, two jets of anesthetic gas sprayed into the room, knocking Chen Haoran unconscious. When he woke again, he was strapped to an operating table.
Coulson looked at everyone before him and sighed. He sensed that something was wrong with Leo, but he hadn't managed to secure clearance to call Fury.
That was right—even Coulson had to request a communications line to contact Fury.
