Leo looked at the blood-red scene before him and at the fresh blood covering his hands. His whole body staggered slightly as he backed away.
What appeared before Leo was a field of mutilated corpses. Fresh blood drenched the ground, and the bodies were piled almost into a small mountain. It was as if even the dim sky had turned blood-red, while endless wails seemed to echo faintly through the air.
Anyone who saw this scene would consider it utterly horrific. It could even be described as cruel and terrifying. Such a violent assault on the senses could give any ordinary person nightmares they would never forget for the rest of their life.
Fresh blood covered the ground, soaked Leo's hands, and even drenched his entire body. Merely looking at the scene before him, anyone would assume that Leo was the murderer.
After all, to be honest, when Leo had slaughtered those cruel and twisted members of the Assassin organization, the aliens who invaded Earth, the Kree who attacked him in the Void Land, and the Hydra members who had slaughtered their own teammates, he had been covered in far more blood than this.
The lives that had already fallen to Leo, the enemies he had personally butchered, numbered more than ten thousand. It was a terrifying figure, several times greater than the number Thor had killed despite having lived for fifteen hundred years.
But in Leo's eyes, all of them had deserved to die. Perhaps those killings had once affected him greatly, but he had originally thought he no longer cared about bloodshed.
