Leo looked at the unbelievably agitated man before him and unconsciously tightened his grip on the newspaper.
"So it was you!"
Leo quietly took a step back and flipped his palm. The small black knife that had fallen nearby floated into the air.
It transformed into a streak of black light and pierced through his chest. The knife passed through the entire car and stabbed into the concrete, still stained with a trace of fresh blood.
He only felt a sharp pain in his chest. Before he could even cry out, blood gushed from the wound, soaking the ground around him. The strength in his body instantly drained away.
He cast one last disbelieving glance at Leo, lowered his head, and stopped moving.
The corner of Leo's eye twitched as well. He reached out and retrieved the three metal plates fastened to the man's body, along with six hundred dollars and his own phone, then used metal wires to pin the newspaper to the car.
"Whew."
He turned and left, flying at low altitude to a small alley on the edge of the city. After leaving the alley, he flagged down another car and went to the supermarket to continue buying the things he needed. Yet he did not smile once along the way.
He also ordered ten cheeseburgers and five servings of fries from a nearby fast-food restaurant. In short, he boarded a taxi with three large bags of food and arrived at an open area one kilometer from Tony's house.
He got out and walked the rest of the way. Only after watching the taxi leave did Leo speed up and return to Tony's house. He entered through the gate, walked another few hundred meters, and finally returned to the house.
Pepper had seemingly not moved at all
