Background / History

Red Whale remembers little of its origin. Its earliest memory is passing through a colorful tunnel into a metal planet, where consuming a metal satellite advanced it from the juvenile stage to the Growth Stage. From then on, it felt compelled to find its “Master,” though it could not explain why 474.

Before meeting Leo, Red Whale drifted alone through space for centuries. It was known as an unusually peaceful Starry Sky Giant Beast: when full, it emitted red light and ignored nearby metal; when hungry, its dorsal light turned gold and it searched aggressively for metal-rich targets. Its hunger had led to the destruction of spacecraft and severe damage to civilizations that attempted to kill it, yet it showed no inherent drive to exterminate civilizations 210 213.

Leo encountered Red Whale while traveling with Jason. After investigating its body and exchanging energy through its forehead, Leo established a connection with it. Red Whale immediately recognized Leo as its Master and accepted his guidance, while Leo left a fixed spatial point on its body so that he could return to it 211 212.

Leo later supplied Red Whale with Vibranium and sustained Space Stone energy, allowing its evolution to progress into the Mature Stage. The creature thereafter gained the ability to shrink to a manageable size, communicate verbally, and travel alongside Leo on Earth and across space 250 474 475.

Appearance

Red Whale resembles a whale-shaped metallic lifeform with a massive head, a slender body, and a broad tail. Its size is highly variable: it can shrink to roughly a meter long or expand toward its recorded complete length of approximately 3,000 meters 474 700.

Its devotion to Leo is instinctive and absolute. Red Whale follows Leo's commands without resentment, senses disturbances in their connection, and will immediately travel to protect him when it believes he is endangered 907 561 1638. It also enjoys the novelty of Earth, especially swimming in the Pacific Ocean and observing ordinary whales and fish from its reduced form 1555.
