"Leo, hearing you say that has made me feel a lot more at ease."
Fury looked up at the boundless starry sky and said with a smile, then sat down beside him again. "Maybe I really should relax a little. How about spending a day at the seaside?"
"Make it two days."
Leo spoke up.
Fury looked over at him and suddenly burst out laughing.
"Didn't they go with Danvers to find a new homeworld? Why are there still some Skrulls here?"
Leo asked curiously.
"They're the second group of Skrulls. Danvers found them a new home seven years ago, but some of them came back again. To repay our goodwill, Talos was willing to help our development."
Fury explained directly. "Of course I didn't refuse them, but neither did I completely accept their goodwill."
"But in order for Earth's technological civilization to develop rapidly, we still let them stay so that we could analyze their technology and take our own path toward developing Earth's civilization."
Leo looked at Fury again and gave a light laugh.
"Then you should also know why they came back, right?"
"Although they never told you, I can more or less guess. Danvers merely took them to a new planet. Even if there are still several thousand Skrulls, that's still far too fragile for a civilization."
"They need Danvers's protection, but Danvers hasn't been taking care of them all this time. She has to consider many other civilizations as well."
"So they returned to Earth for the sake of Danvers's power, hoping that when the final moment came, Danvers wouldn't abandon them."
After hearing Fury's words, Leo nodded in complete agreement.
"That's right. It seems you understand the situation clearly as well. Then you should know how precious a communicator capable of contacting Danvers is."
