Leaving

Leo looked at the thoroughly startled Shuri and showed a trace of apology.

"Sorry, Shuri. I should have made some noise beforehand."

"No, no, Leo, how did you get in from there? My room only has access for six people?"

Shuri, who was about to turn eleven, lowered the sword in her hand and asked Leo curiously.

Leo pointed outside the wall. "Through the mine. It feels really nice here. I like it, but it would be even better with some food. I'm a little hungry."

"Come over here. These are freshly baked loaves, and there's pie and milk too. Do you want some?"

"That's great."

Leo devoured all the food, including the two jugs of milk, finishing every drop under Shuri's astonished gaze.

"How did you do that? How could you eat so much?"

Leo set down the milk jug in his hand and looked at Shuri. "That's a normal amount for me, Shuri. Where's your brother?"

"You've been gone for five days. Where did you go? My brother and father are both upstairs."

"Five days? I've been gone for five days?"

Leo asked in surprise, but unfortunately, his small phone had already vanished in the Vibranium Energy surge, reduced to ashes.

"Sorry, Princess Shuri, could you give me a phone? I think I'm in trouble."

Shuri glanced around, then took a new set of Kimoyo Beads from a nearby drawer and fastened them around Leo's wrist.

"This is a spare set of Kimoyo Beads. Everyone in Wakanda uses these to communicate now, and only these can break through Wakanda's Defense Barrier and connect to the outside world."

The small bracelet swayed beside Leo's ear for a moment, and a faint purple light appeared on its beads, completing the identity binding.
