"Won't I die?"
Quill looked at Ego and asked.
"Mm-hmm."
Ego looked at Quill with a smile and nodded lightly.
"Really?"
Quill could hardly believe it, his eyes filled with excitement!
No matter who heard this news, they probably wouldn't be able to control their emotions.
"That's right. As long as this light doesn't go out, we'll live forever and never die. You've seen it yourself—I've already lived for millions of years."
Ego spread his arms, and waves of pale white light emerged from his body. Even Quill unconsciously began to emit a faint white glow.
Quill stared at the white light surrounding him. Though faint, it made his gaze grow even more confused and conflicted.
Yet a faint smile unconsciously appeared on his face, as if he felt incredibly happy and satisfied.
At the same time, Quill said excitedly, "Can I use this light to create some awesome things too? Like when you created planets?"
"That may require you to spend a long time practicing, but you can accomplish all of it!"
Ego looked at Quill and laughed generously, a trace of satisfaction in his eyes.
"That's amazing! Wow! This is—wow! I'm going to build an eight-hundred-foot-tall statue of Pac-Man, with Skeletor and Heather Locklear standing beside it."
Quill couldn't help standing up from his seat. He danced around excitedly, waving his arms as he spoke.
"Do whatever you want, son. But, Peter, you have to understand that this involves an enormous responsibility!"
Ego also stood up and pulled the extremely excited Quill in front of him, gazing into his eyes.
"Only we can reshape the universe. Only we can take hold of the universe's reins and lead it in the right direction. Our mission is immense."
Ego placed both hands on Quill's shoulders, and strange fluctuations continuously poured
