In this somewhat chaotic shopping district, within a narrow street.
Leo followed the suddenly appearing figure, winding through alleyways, shops, and back doors.
In just a few minutes, they had shaken off the group behind them.
The person finally let go of Leo's hand.
The short-haired girl in a light-blue tracksuit pushed aside her sweat-soaked bangs and glared at Leo with her dark eyes. Panting heavily, she looked him over.
"Hey, are you from China? Why are those punks following you? You would've been in danger if you hadn't run. Good thing you ran into me."
The sporty Asian girl leaned against the wall and looked at Leo as she spoke.
She had a standard oval face and a pair of large eyes beneath her faint eyebrows, though they were narrowed into slits as if she were very happy. She also wore a pair of light-blue sports glasses on her small nose.
Although Leo had run with her for quite some time, he was still neither flushed nor out of breath as he looked at the unfamiliar girl.
"Yeah, thank you. Although I'm not afraid of them, I still appreciate your help. My name is Leo, and I'm from China. What about you?"
"It's good that you're from China. If you were from Japan, then I really would've saved you for nothing."
"Hello, my name is Li Qian. I'm Chinese too. I came here with my parents to open a Chinese restaurant."
Li Qian looked at Leo, took a breath, and stood up. She was several centimeters taller than Leo.
"You're in pretty good shape, but how did you get mixed up with them? I've seen a few of them before. None of them are good people, and they've even come around here to collect protection money."
She patted Leo
