Background / History

Meng Mei entered the game as an idle player whose stated aim was to evolve into a dragon. Her vine-dragon avatar crossed through a World Passage in search of resources to offer the God of Creation, whom she admired. 170

After being drawn into an ancient Daoist world, she initially panicked and logged out. The ancient beings eventually identified her as a crucial missing link in the world’s energy cycle. Phoenix Dao Lord assigned her the Divine Duty of Earth Mother, transforming her into the immobile Azure Vine/Jian Tree that supported Heaven and Earth, absorbed energy, and bore Dao Fruits. 172 174 175

For centuries, her Jian Tree body sheltered the world while she remained unable to move. Though she cultivated a public image as a harmless “Salted Fish,” this position gave her immense merit, legitimacy, and control over the Earth Dragon Vein. 223 224 324
