Background / History

Di Qi first emerges as the strongest Heavenly Emperor during the conflict with Dao Changsheng and the Eight Ancestral Witches. Rather than merely defeating Dao Changsheng, he deduces the Nine Revolutions Mysterious Technique from him, opens his own Dantian and Acupoint, and turns each kill into further growth. He withdraws to the Great Firmament Heaven to study the technique completely. 203

After eliminating the Ancestral Witches, Di Qi comes close to attaining Dao but lacks the energy required for the final step. The Moon God offers herself as a sacrifice, but Di Qi refuses and chooses to wait a century rather than trade her life for advancement. 204

A century later, he battles the transformed Dao Changsheng. Di Qi reveals that he can integrate techniques from Heavenly Emperors across past and present eras, while his opponent unveils the Pangu True Body. Their clash devastates the Heavenly Realm; Di Qi later leaves rather than kill Dao Changsheng as the latter supports the collapsing world. 207 209

Di Qi eventually enters Guixu in pursuit of truth after receiving insight from an ancient Primal Chaos Saint. In its hostile environment, he remakes his Pangu Golden Body into a planet-like form, adapts his Inner World to poisonous conditions, and uses the corpses of ten Ancestral Witch Heavenly Emperors to drive a new cycle of evolution. 212 222

Personality

Di Qi is defined by relentless curiosity. He studies unfamiliar civilizations, strange communication methods, combat techniques, bloodlines, and even his enemies’ physical reactions; conversation itself can be a means to observe, verify deductions, and learn. 269 270 708

He seeks difficulty and worthy opposition rather than effortless dominance. He acknowledges Dao Changsheng’s growth, enjoys the challenge posed by Emperor Lord, and later recognizes that learning techniques is not enough—he must integrate and truly master them. 207 823 920

His ambition is tempered by selective restraint. He refuses to sacrifice the Moon God for his breakthrough and chooses retreat when the Martial World Alliance Leader’s Sacred Martial Armor proves too costly to overcome. 204 921

Abilities & Skills

Learning and Technique Integration

Di Qi can analyze, copy, improve, and merge cultivation methods at an extraordinary rate.

  • Deduced Dao Changsheng’s Nine Revolutions Mysterious Technique and used it to strengthen himself through repeated kills. 203
  • Learns through combat, observation, dialogue, and opponents’ expressions or bodily responses. 708
  • Can integrate techniques belonging to Heavenly Emperors from different eras. 207
  • Began copying bloodlines and techniques through cloned, implanted bloodline organs produced inside his body. 709
  • His learning becomes more dangerous when the realm gap is insufficient; opponents must overwhelm him instantly or risk being surpassed. 708
  • Can imitate an opponent’s movements to evade attacks, as demonstrated against the Demon Lord. 915

Adaptation and Regeneration

  • Dodges and regenerates while fighting the Three Pillar Gods after merging with a Magic Core. 708

  • Is expected to develop Incense Deities and Monstrosities after acquiring the Incense system. 709

Combat and Strategy

  • Drains a world’s energy, using its inhabitants’ souls as fuel and their flesh and blood as materials for Martial Dao cultivation. 712
  • Plants fear in the Demon Lord with the Delusional Thought Demon Division Art, ensuring the opponent’s eventual defeat. 917
  • Fights three ordinary Ninth-Order opponents by using skill and a small body to offset their superior size and energy. 1004
  • Can accurately assess enemies’ weaknesses, including the Abyssal Blue Clan’s bloodline imbalance and Caroline’s projected vulnerability. 1106
  • Retreats when necessary, such as against the Martial World Alliance Leader’s Sacred Martial Armor. 921
