"Teacher, disappeared?"

Tsunade asked hesitantly, her face full of disbelief.

"Ha!" the ninja replied affirmatively.

The person who reported it was Biwako. At first, she thought it might be some secret mission.

After all, it wasn't strange for a ninja to disappear for a while. But the more Biwako thought about it, the more something felt wrong, and in the end, she decided to report it.

Only after investigating did she realize that the Third Hokage had disappeared.

"Does Insect Princess know?" Tsunade asked immediately.

It was difficult to hide any disturbance in Konoha from Mimi's eyes and ears. Tsunade was certain of that.

"She probably doesn't know, Insect Princess-sama," the Konoha Military Police Force ninja said. "Should we notify the Ninja Magistrate's personnel to help investigate?"

If they investigated as quickly as possible, they might still find some clues.

Tsunade spoke, then paused before quickly changing her mind.

"Wait! Notify the Ninja Magistrate first. The Anbu will take over the investigation."

"Ha!"

The ninja accepted the order and left.

Sitting in her office, Tsunade looked anxious.

Mimi and the Third Hokage had never gotten along, and Tsunade had always seen it clearly. It had always been the Third Hokage who provoked her, while Mimi tolerated him.

It wasn't entirely tolerance, either. Mimi had never been the type to suffer a loss. From time to time, she would deliberately provoke the Third Hokage.

It made perfect sense that the Third Hokage had tried to assassinate Mimi. After all, Mimi could be incredibly irritating.

But Tsunade couldn't believe that Mimi had eliminated the Third Hokage, nor was she willing to believe it.

Why eliminate him now? Why not earlier or later? What benefit would it bring?
