I originally thought the theme of the original Naruto was a hot-blooded underdog youth turning his life around. Turns out it was the crown prince overcoming his trials and reclaiming supreme power. On the surface, it was about love and peace; in reality, it was Balenciaga.
Some problems were solved, but nothing was really resolved.
Put it this way: Hashirama and Naruto belong to the royalist camp, while Madara belongs to the madman camp. When choosing among the tallest of the short, I can only hold my nose and pick the less bad option.
Now, Tsunade stands with the people, demanding independence and self-determination, while Mimi stands with the Insect Swarm, mainly advocating centralized control and management. It's that simple.
Human society allows for individuality; Insect Swarm society has only the queen.
