Gu Yue and Na'er originated as separate souls from the Silver Dragon King, but possess different memories and emotions, making them fundamentally distinct individuals 20. Jing Shaoyu recognizes Gu Yue upon their first encounter in East Sea Park, seeing Na'er's mannerisms beneath Gu Yue's changed appearance 33.

Soon afterward, Gu Yue arrives at Eastsea Academy seeking enrollment. Although she initially wants to join Class One, Wu Zhangkong places her in Class Five after testing her strength 33 34. Her effortless victory over Xie Xie earns her a place in the Promotion Tournament lineup 34.
