History

Prosperity and expansion

The Immortal World was once the supreme power of the Myriad Realms. Its Immortals collectively developed the Immortal Ascension Ladder system, connecting countless worlds and making ascension the aspiration of living beings across the Void. The Nine Provinces World produced the greatest number of ascended Immortals among the worlds under its rule. 39 770

Immortal Emperor Qiong Xiao attained the Limitless Primordial position, established the Heavenly Court, and laid the groundwork for the Ascension Ladder system. 770

Heavenly Dao catastrophe

The Immortal Realm's Dao Ancestor recorded that the Heavenly Dao developed sentience and sought to exterminate the living beings of the Myriad Realms. Immortals below the Heavenly Immortal stage suffered Qi Deviation and died, while Earth Immortals became deranged and devoured one another. 401

The Dao Ancestor fled with his followers to Ming Zhong Continent and destroyed the Immortal Ascension Ladders to sever their connection to the collapsing realm. The Dao Ancestor later died in exile. 401

The disappearance of the ladders isolated lower worlds for nine thousand years. During this period, the Nine Provinces repeatedly suffered attacks from Extraterrestrial Demons, which were ultimately revealed to have been dispatched by the Immortal Realm. 90 701

Ruling powers

The Immortal Realm was led by three Limitless Boundless Immortals—Buddha, Primal Ancestor, and the Immortal Emperor—alongside Divine Treasure Venerable, an incarnation of the Heavenly Dao. 505

The Immortal Realm treated the destruction of worlds as an organized practice. Heavenly Immortals were instructed to conceal their actions, proceed gradually, and tailor their methods to each world's civilization. 610

Fall of the Immortal World

Jiang Li's conflict with the Immortal Realm began openly when its Golden Immortals descended on the Nine Provinces to seize its Earth Veins and eliminate him. Jiang Li killed Boundless Light Buddha, Netherfire Immortal Lord, Lu Wu Immortal Lord, and Heavenly Origin Immortal Lord, then followed the fleeing Heavenly Origin Immortal Lord into the Immortal Realm. 664 665

Upon arrival, Jiang Li found the realm already dilapidated, populated by irrational Earth Immortal monsters and Immortals who feared his presence. He advanced on the Golden Cloud Palace and injured the Immortal Emperor with a single punch. 665 666

The Immortal Emperor's Burial Immortal Spear and Four Servants failed to stop Jiang Li; Jiang Li broke the spear and gravely wounded the Emperor. 667

Divine Treasure Venerable eventually attempted to escape by moving the entire Immortal Realm. Jiang Li completed the Immortal Ascension Ladder and used it to reconnect the Nine Provinces and the fleeing realm. 670

In the final battle, Divine Treasure Venerable activated the Supreme Return to Origin Formation, using the Immortal Realm, its Immortal Power, and its inhabitants as fuel. The Thirty-Six Heavens, immortal palaces, and the realm itself were destroyed, leaving only chaotic primordial matter. 683

Aftermath

The destruction of the Immortal Realm ended its position as the supreme center of the Myriad Realms. Its fall became widely known among worlds later connected through the Myriad Realms Friendship Treaty, though many initially found the claim that the Nine Provinces had destroyed it unbelievable. 701 766
