Jiang Yan Hai was looking over the tactical tablet in front of him in his office when Gong Jian's voice sounded from the doorway. "Report!"
"Come in." Jiang Yan Hai looked up. The office door was pushed open, and Gong Jian, Yang Rui, Gao Da Zhuang, Shao Bing, and Chen Shan Ming walked in.
Speaking of which, among the five of them, Yang Rui was a major; Gao Da Zhuang was a lieutenant colonel; Gong Jian and Chen Shan Ming were both majors; and Shao Bing was also a lieutenant colonel.
Among Special Forces and pilots, both officers and NCOs generally held relatively high ranks.
For example, in the Lone Wolf Special Assault Team, Old Cannon was already a Third Class Sergeant Major, while pilots, medics, and nearly all the other members were majors.
In other units, a major would be at battalion commander level.
One could therefore imagine just how high the proportion of officers was in this Special Operations Regiment.
The five men walked up to Jiang Yan Hai, snapped off crisp salutes, and said in unison, "Hello, Instructor."
"Tut, tut..." Seeing their posture, Jiang Yan Hai could not help clicking his tongue twice. Then he gave Gong Jian and Chen Shan Ming a strange grin. "Instructor Gong, Team Leader Chen, you know, if this were a novel, this would be called thirty years east of the river, thirty years west of the river. Never mock a poor young man."
"Fortunes change. Now it's your turn to call me sir."
"Oh, cut it out. When were you ever poor? Back when you were in our company, the reward you got for fixing that command system vulnerability was a million, wasn't it? How long would it take for people like us to save up a million from our allowances?"
