Background / History
Guo Qingshui is the sister of Guo Qingshan, the leader of the Twelve Tiger Wolf Village. After Ning Chang'an killed Guo Qingshan with the Dragon Head Sword, she devoted herself to revenge. She also holds Liu Ye responsible for the death of her mother, whom Liu Ye allegedly trampled with his horse in Sanhe County thirteen years earlier 10.
Before the main events, Guo Qingshui learned of Chang'an's cultivation weakness through Lu Jing. She states that she was with Lu Jing the night before his fight with Chang'an and manipulated him into crippling Chang'an's inner energy. She also orchestrated Liu Bao'er's apparent elopement, setting multiple enemies against Chang'an at once 10.
At Crimson Blood Fortress, Guo Qingshui released poison through her fragrance, seemingly killing Liu Ye and the fortress's inhabitants. She escaped after Chang'an resisted her poison, then returned publicly with an antidote to revive Liu Ye and the survivors. This allowed her to frame Chang'an as the fortress's poisoner and destroy his reputation 10 11.
She later used Yu Fu's capture to coerce Chang'an into accepting three killings in exchange for Yu Fu's safety. Her continued attempts on Chang'an's life include poisoning Little Brother at Qingfeng Ferry Crossing, manipulating the Green Bamboo Swordsman, attempting to lure Chang'an into a seduction trap, and hiring an assassin connected to Master's Tower 14 20 32 47.
By the events in Yongan Prefecture, Guo Qingshui works with Cao Jing and approaches Young Master Tang on behalf of the Poison Dragon Cult and Money Gang. She proposes cooperation against Mao Renwang while seeking access to Ning Shengdao's hidden treasure through Tang's influence 31 47.
Appearance
Guo Qingshui is repeatedly described as exceptionally beautiful and alluring, using a gentle demeanor and carefully cultivated appearance to disarm targets before revealing her ruthlessness 10 20 47.
- Slender figure and enchanting bearing 20 47
- Red lips and bright, expressive eyes 20
- Appears in both a bamboo hat and white clothing, allowing her to conceal or reshape her identity as needed 20 47
- Possesses a soft voice noted for its venomous undertone when angered 10
Personality
Guo Qingshui is vindictive, patient, and willing to sacrifice anyone for revenge. She openly describes herself as someone who will do anything to achieve her goals and embraces being seen as demonic or lawless 10.
Her chief strength is manipulation. She exploits grief, lust, jealousy, fear, and ambition to turn others into tools: Liu Ye is devastated through his family, Cao Jing becomes infatuated with her, and Young Master Tang is drawn into her proposed alliance 10 47 48.
Despite her outward charm, she is calculating and adaptable. When direct attempts to kill Chang'an fail, she changes methods rather than abandoning the pursuit, using poison, hired killers, hostages, and political alliances 20 32 47.
