A Baffling Soul Transmigration

Duanyu Fan, from Xuanlan Star, had been playing an online game called Dungeon and Fighter. His favorite class was the Female Priest. There were only Two Professions she could advance into: Seraphim and Savior, one light and one dark, one a healer and one a damage dealer.

Duanyu Fan was panicking now. He had turned into a little boy, and he had no idea how old he was. What panicked him even more was that he had arrived in some unknown place.

When Duanyu Fan woke up, he was hiding beneath a bed in a stone house. He had clearly just clicked on the Seraphim class on the screen to enter the game.

Then there had been a flash of white light so bright that Duanyu Fan shut his eyes. When he opened them again, he had become a little boy. What kind of logic was that?! No one answered Duanyu Fan's question.

Outside, people were crying to the heavens, and shrill, heart-wrenching screams rang out. Not knowing what was happening in this unfamiliar environment, Duanyu Fan could only keep hiding nervously beneath the bed, not daring to make a sound.

Heavens! Didn't I just get a +15 enhanced Cross weapon last night?! How did I end up like this for no reason?! I haven't even finished my Ozma gear set! I haven't even healed anyone with my +15 weapon yet! Hey! Duanyu Fan cried out inwardly, on the verge of tears.

Suddenly, a tremendous sound rang out, and the entire stone house shook. Startled, Duanyu Fan abruptly raised his head. Forgetting that he was hiding beneath the bed, he slammed his head into the stone bed, grew dizzy, and fainted on the floor.

"Those damned Evil Soul Masters destroyed another village. And this one was near Spirit City, no less. Causing trouble right under the Pope's nose is far too brazen." A man in his thirties wore simple, neat gray-and-white clothing.

"That's right! It only goes to show how cunning Evil Soul Masters are, hiding everywhere like filthy rats." He wore the same clothes, clearly the uniform of the same organization.

Behind them stood two rows of six people, dressed in Dark Gold armor and wearing helmets.

"Deacon, the three Evil Soul Masters have all been eliminated. But it seems there are no survivors left in the village. We arrived too late." An armored soldier reported to the middle-aged man.

"Search every house carefully. Perhaps some parents hid their children somewhere." The man called Deacon spoke.

"Yes, Deacon!"

The soldiers began searching from house to house. The two middle-aged men leading them did not remain idle either and joined the search.

The eight men searched every house for more than an hour before returning to a stone house near where they had killed the Evil Soul Masters. Duanyu Fan was inside that very house, and it happened to be the one they had not searched yet.

"Deacon, we made a full round and found no survivors," a soldier reported.

"Very well. We shouldn't have held out any hope to begin with. Wherever Evil Soul Masters appear, not even grass survives. All living things are devastated." The middle-aged Deacon sighed, filled with fury at the Evil Soul Masters' actions.

"By the way, have you searched this house?" the other middle-aged man suddenly asked.

"Vice Deacon, we did not search this stone house. We thought the two of you had already checked it," the soldier hurriedly replied.

"Go take a look. While you're at it, pull out the Evil Soul Masters' bodies too." The Vice Deacon called out. Deacons were divided into chief and vice positions, equivalent to the captain and vice-captain of a small squad.

"Understood, Vice Deacon." The soldier responded and called five of his brothers over to move aside the scattered corpses in the stone house.

After moving half of them, two men pulled out the Evil Soul Masters' bodies, while the others continued clearing the area. Suddenly, one soldier spotted a little boy's arm sticking out from beneath the bed.

The soldier hurried over, checked his pulse, then held his fingers beneath the boy's nostrils. Once he finished examining him, he immediately shouted.

"Sir! There's a little boy here. He still has a pulse and is breathing."

"Quick! Bring him out." The Deacon shouted with delight. He was glad they had finally found a survivor. Though they had killed the Evil Soul Masters, the entire village had been destroyed. He would have had no way to face Spirit Hall or his superior, the Bishop.

"Here, Deacon." The soldier quickly handed the little boy to the Deacon.

The Deacon took the little boy. His skin was fair and tender, his features delicate, though his face was smeared with a little dirt and ash. There were no obvious external injuries. After carefully examining him, the Deacon found only a small bump on the top of his head.

"Mm. Fortunately, he only has a small bump on his head. He must have hit it by accident while hiding in his panic and passed out. I checked him, and he is exactly six years old. He can still make it to this month's Spirit Awakening Day. Xiao Lin, come carry this little boy. Let's head back." After finishing his analysis, the Deacon called over a soldier and prepared to return.

"Yes, Deacon!" The soldier called Xiao Lin carried the little boy on his back and headed toward Spirit City.

The eight men set off along the road to return and report back.

Duanyu Fan had a dream. He dreamed that he had become a little boy, that he had arrived in an unfamiliar place, and that he was being hunted by a vicious-looking man.

"Ah! Don't chase me!" Duanyu Fan fell while running away!

"Run! Go on, keep running! Can't run anymore, can you? Become part of my strength, hahaha!"

Duanyu Fan saw a blade slash toward him. With a cry of "Ah," he jolted awake.

"Thank goodness it was a dream! Hm? Why am I shaking?" Duanyu Fan abruptly opened his eyes and discovered that someone was carrying him on their back while walking.

"Deacon! The little boy is awake."

"I know."

The eight-man squad had been walking for more than two hours when Duanyu Fan's sudden cry of "Ah" startled them.

"Little friend, how are you feeling? Does anything hurt?" The Deacon came to Duanyu Fan's side and asked with a smile, while the soldier continued carrying him onward.

"Little friend?" Duanyu Fan looked at his hand and found a small, fair, tender hand.

"I'm not dreaming, am I?" Duanyu Fan said with a dejected expression.

"Little friend, I'm very sorry. We arrived too late and allowed all your relatives and friends to die tragically. We are deeply saddened as well. You are the only living person we found in the entire village." The Deacon comforted Duanyu Fan, blaming himself.

So it wasn't a dream. I really came to a strange world. Duanyu Fan did not answer the Deacon, merely thinking to himself.

The Deacon assumed Duanyu Fan was too heartbroken to speak and continued.

"Little friend, don't worry. We will make proper arrangements for you. You are also six years old now, so you can participate in Spirit Awakening Day half a month from now. Whether or not you have Soul Power, Spirit Hall will make sure you grow up happily."

"What? Spirit Awakening? Spirit Hall? Douluo Continent?" Duanyu Fan widened his eyes and looked at the Deacon in astonishment.

"That's right! We are near Spirit City now. It will take about another hour to reach it. Sigh! This was our dereliction of duty. Evil Soul Masters actually dared to commit such crimes near Spirit City! But child, don't worry. We have already killed the Evil Soul Masters who murdered your family and friends." The Deacon continued to blame himself as he explained.

"Uncle, this isn't your fault! It's those Evil Soul Masters' fault for being sinister, cunning, cruel, and inhuman. I will live on bravely. If I can cultivate, I will make every Evil Soul Master on the entire continent perish." Duanyu Fan answered, comforting the Deacon in turn.

"Good child! When Spirit Awakening Day arrives in half a month, I will personally take you to awaken your martial soul." The Deacon said as he looked at the suddenly sensible Duanyu Fan.

"Rest well for now. I will wake you when we arrive at Spirit Hall," the Deacon continued.

Duanyu Fan needed time to process this unbelievable situation anyway, so he closed his eyes and rested on the soldier's back.

I'm switching books. I found that I couldn't grasp Red Eye's half-awake, half-mad state, or the cold Demon God.

So I dropped it and switched to another class. This time, I'll follow Spirit Hall and won't go independent.
