Desperate Straits

In this world, the only people who could brawl while fanatically chanting slogans—and chant "For the Greater Good" at that—

were Grindelwald's fanatical Followers of Grindelwald, the Saints.

Li Weide had no time to wonder why Grindelwald's people had come knocking.

"Where are Tom and Professor Hicks?" Li Weide looked past Toby.

Then he saw Tom lying quietly on the floor behind Toby, looking especially peaceful.

"Huh?" Li Weide stared at Tom on the ground in shock.

Had the future Dark Lord died before even making his debut?

"Young Master Tom was only knocked unconscious. Professor Hicks is still outside holding them off, but there are too many of them. She won't last much longer. We have to leave now!"

Toby grabbed Tom's hand while anxiously extending his other hand toward Li Weide. "Quick, grab Toby! Toby will take you away first... ah!"

Boom! Before Toby could finish speaking, the wall behind him was blasted open.

The violent shockwave knocked Toby unconscious on the spot, sending him down beside Tom.

Li Weide was in front of Toby, and Toby blocked part of the blast for him, so he did not lose consciousness.
