• Slytherin met Tom and fought him, but Tom won by shooting Slytherin’s Obscurus coat, then began secretly training with him.

Li Weide discovered that Tom’s intense feelings had twisted Nightmare Magic into a curse that made people forget him, then freed Senior Sister from her long confinement. After Miravia and Helga Hufflepuff reunited, Grindelwald revealed that Purifiers had resurfaced, and Li Weide questioned whether the evidence against them was genuine.

After the group crushed a Purifier stronghold, Li Weide suspected someone had arranged the attack, while the story left him studying the enemies’ life-draining power and preparing to review battle memories with Tom.

• Li Weide visited Azkaban with Tom, Annie, and Andre, where he uncovered evidence that the captured Purifier had hidden memories removed and had been left physically and magically weakened.
• Li Weide established a refuge for the Riddle Family, recruited House-elves, and began raising Basilisks in Ethiopia with Professor Slughorn and Slytherin.

• Li Weide, Dumbledore, and Grindelwald broke the Purifiers’ formation, then found that their enemies were pure-blood Englishmen whose strength had been temporarily boosted at the cost of their lives.
