After listening to Wang Wu, Zhang Chen's head buzzed. Going by what Wang Wu said, that so-called jiao dragon seemed no different from an ordinary wild beast. Aside from riding clouds and mist, and its flesh and blood extending one's lifespan, it did not seem to possess any other divine wonders.
Come to think of it, dragon-fall incidents had not been unheard of in his previous life either. Once a dragon fell to the ground or became stranded on shore, it was probably not even a match for shrimp. How did that saying go? When a dragon swims in shallow waters, shrimp mock it; when a tiger falls to the plains, dogs bully it. That was roughly the logic! Dragons were overlords of the waters. Once they lost the support of water's power, it was only natural that ordinary people could hunt them. Whales were immensely overbearing in the sea, yet once stranded, they too were left to be carved up by humans.
"A dragon is nothing more than an animal. People from my world mythologized dragons, but their ability to gather clouds and rain is certainly real," Zhang Chen muttered inwardly.
He then recalled the Dragon Qi in the sky, a thoughtful look appearing in his eyes. "Could the fate Wang Wu spoke of be Dragon Qi? And has someone now obtained that Dragon Qi, seeking to gather enough water vapor before taking the chance to undergo Jiao Dragon Walking and Dragon Transformation?"
"Still, transforming into a dragon is no easy matter. If it transformed in the sea, that would be one thing—dragons returning to the Great Sea is the proper course, and no one could stop it. But if it undergoes dragon transformation and jiao walking on the territory of my Great Victory, then that is another matter.
