Klein had never intended to fight Kotar himself. In fact, once he arrived, his part in the plan was more or less over.

Those skilled in fighting, he asked to fight remotely on his behalf. If they refused, he asked for high-level charms instead. From those less suited to combat, he requested charms or blessings outright.

Pallez declined to respond, citing his need to recuperate. Lady Arianna agreed to let Klein summon her Historical Projection, offering some help that way. As for Reinette Tinekerr...

After promising to join the hunt for Shaman King Kalamanan once he became an angel, and to cover every Yesterday's Recurrence charm used in this operation, Klein brought the angel in her unusual state into the Forsaken Land of the Gods.
