Dialogue

At first, Klein could not help but feel somewhat puzzled by the suggestion. He asked aloud:

"Why?"

"That Mystery Attendant Beyonder Characteristic came directly from the Lord of Mysteries," the projection before him replied. "If you use it to advance..."

There was no need for the Evernight Goddess to continue. Whether it was facing the Lord of Mysteries' Mental Pollution directly or any hidden contingencies that might have been left within it, neither was something Klein wanted.

But not using that Mystery Attendant Beyonder Characteristic meant hunting Zaratul. The time that would consume made Klein frown. He Wanted to Say Something, but the Evernight Goddess saw through his confusion and added:

"I am confident I can hide you from Him as long as He does not deliberately investigate. But how to keep Him from deliberately investigating is a problem you must solve yourself."

Alice, who had yet to be born, did not need too much concern. Even after Alice was born, there were ways to find an excuse to send her away... However, if I choose this method, it would be best to finish everything before Alice is born...

I could first complete the Sequence 1 Ritual and the other preparations. That ritual could be preserved anyway, and my Potion was nearly fully digested. I could prepare the ritual and Auxiliary Ingredients first, then gather clues about Zaratul in the process. If I could complete the hunt before Alice was born, I could advance directly and then retrieve the River Water of the River of Eternal Darkness!
