Ye Buqun brought his companions to Sea God Island, where they received trials and trained under Sea God’s Light. The group completed its first trial, with Ye Buqun clearing the 333-step climb and gaining greater affinity with Sea God.

• Zi Zhenzhu joined Ye Buqun’s group after honoring her wager, and the party traveled toward Sea God Island aboard the Dragon Abyss Boat beneath the Vast Sea Cosmic Shroud.
• Ye Buqun’s group reached Sea God Island, crossed the Sea within a Sea, and received their assessments at the Seahorse Sacred Pillar, including Ye Buqun’s Sea God Nine Trials.
• Bo Saixi welcomed the group and explained their first trials, which required them to climb the steps of Sea God’s Light within a year.
• The group began training on Sea God Mountain, where Zi Zhenzhu, Meng Yiran, Doudou, Zhu Zhuqing, Bai Chenxiang, and Xiao Yao struggled against the pressure and used the steps to cultivate.
• Bo Saixi summoned a God-Bestowed Soul Ring for Ye Buqun, who absorbed it as a red eighth soul ring and reached level eighty-two.

Ye Buqun and his companions passed the Ring Sea and Abyss trials, then battled the Evil Spirit Orcas and completed their fifth trials against the Sacred Pillar guardians. The sixth trial began with Ye Buqun facing Bo Saixi alone.

• The group entered the Ring Sea, where Ye Buqun subdued the Arrow-bodied Fish, but a giant Demon Soul Great White Shark drove them out and caused them to fail the trial.
• The shark transformed into Xiaobai and recognized Ye Buqun as the Sea God’s successor, then Bo Saixi gave Zi Zhenzhu a God-Bestowed Soul Ring that evolved her Martial Soul into a Sea Flood Dragon.
• Bo Saixi assigned the group to endure the Abyss of Raging Waves, and Ye Buqun completed the Third Trial after 180 days, earning more Sea God Affinity.
• Xiaobai led Ye Buqun and his companions against the Evil Spirit Orcas, where Ye Buqun crippled the pack and Meng Yiran killed the Evil Orca King.
• Meng Yiran absorbed the Evil Orca King’s 100,000-year Soul Ring and Soul Bone, while Ye Buqun’s group learned their fifth trials required defeating Sacred Pillar guardians.
• Ye Buqun defeated the Sacred Pillar guardians, and Zhu Zhuqing, Meng Yiran, and Zi Zhenzhu also passed their individual trials against Seahorse, Seaspear, and Seadragon Douluo.
• Bo Saixi announced the sixth trial, requiring the group to endure her attacks for one incense stick, and Ye Buqun chose to face her alone as the battle began.

Ye Buqun passed the Sea God’s trials and was sent to a parallel world, where he joined Huo Yuhao on the road to Shrek Academy. At Shrek, Ye Buqun helped build a grilled-fish business and became entangled in Xu Sanshi and Beibei’s rivalry, which began its duel before Wang Dong joined the Tang Sect.

• Ye Buqun endured Bo Saixi’s challenge, completed his Sixth Trial, and learned that drawing the Sea God Trident was his Seventh Trial.
• Ye Buqun pulled the Sea God Trident free, raised his Sea God Affinity to eighty-five percent, and was transported to the parallel Douluo II World with his power restricted.
• Ye Buqun met Huo Yuhao, Tang Ya, and Beibei, then helped Huo Yuhao absorb the Sky Dream Ice Silkworm’s Million-Year Soul Ring and became a Guest Elder of the Tang Sect.
• Ye Buqun and Huo Yuhao joined Tang Ya and Beibei on the journey to Shrek Academy, where Zhou Yi tested them and Fan Yu discovered Huo Yuhao’s powerful Spiritual Detection and Spiritual Sharing.

• Huo Yuhao, Wang Dong, and Ye Buqun encountered the Red-Clothed Woman, who was revealed as Ma Xiaotao, and later received Soul Ascension Pills after the academy suppressed the incident.
