Kurumi reacted quickly, stepping forward to block Katie's path.
"Be careful. No one knows what's going on here."
Unlike Katie, when Fang Zheng had sent Kurumi and Kuru here, he had specifically told them about the methods used by monsters and Undead in the Main World, just in case. Kurumi knew that Fang Zheng had said Undead would take on the appearance of those their prey longed for in order to lure them in, so she remained especially cautious.
After spending so long in the Main World, Kurumi had also gained a rough understanding of her own strength.
In her own world, Kurumi might have ranked among the very strongest. But in this world, even with Zafkiel's enhancement, she was only somewhat above average. Fang Zheng had told her that, in terms of strength, Kuru was somewhere between elite and master, while Kurumi hovered around the entry level of Legend.
Zafkiel might have been an Angel that controlled time, but if Kurumi ever had the bad luck to encounter a Legendary with time-related powers, she would be completely out of her depth.
So in the Main World, Kurumi followed Fang Zheng's example and kept both a low profile and a careful eye out. Especially during her time as a mercenary, she had personally witnessed the strange powers possessed by some people. Some might not have been as powerful as the Spirits in her world, but they had remarkable effects nonetheless. That only made Kurumi more cautious.
Getting capsized in a gutter was no laughing matter.

Yet at that moment, the Undead suddenly reached out
