For example... what exactly had the Chaos Knight's plan been, and what was that gemstone inside his body?
What had that giant hand that appeared at the end been, and why had it been so determined to obtain that gemstone?
Fang Zheng was quite puzzled by this, and even wary. But to him, eliminating the threat in front of him was far more important than finding out why. He was not like the protagonists of so many RPGs, who had to solve mysteries while killing monsters and leveling up, only to discover what the BOSS wanted after the other side was practically done succeeding... Fang Zheng had always found that sort of plot formula utterly intolerable.
Why not just beat the threat to death first, then turn around and investigate the cause afterward?
With the threat of the Chaos Knight Order gone, the Heavenly Dao Palace, together with the Holy Kingdom and the Magical Nation, gradually got the handling of the Twilight Borderlands onto a normal track. It was simple enough, really. The Arctic had already been completely covered by Chaos, so Fang Zheng no longer needed to hold back. When facing Chaos Demonic Beasts, he started with a round of low-orbit bombardment, then sent in the Swarm to get to work and claim the territory.
But that did not mean the Paladins of the Holy Kingdom and the mages of the Magical Nation had nothing to do. Their task was to carefully inspect every inch of occupied land, searching for possible Chaos hiding places and preventing them from secretly gathering somewhere to plot
