Early the next morning, Fang Zheng introduced Akemi Homura to Raphtalia and Rifana. Upon learning that Akemi Homura was Fang Zheng's familiar, the two girls were rather nervous at first.
Akemi Homura, however, remained relatively calm. After all, Heavenly Dao Palace had no shortage of Cursed Children, and she had long grown used to seeing Cursed Children with all sorts of animal traits. Before long, the three became acquainted. Then Fang Zheng took them deep into the forest to continue leveling up.
Incidentally, Akemi Homura's bow, like Fang Zheng's shield, could absorb other materials and acquire their traits.
But bows were much easier to deal with than shields. Fang Zheng's shield could not absorb weapons, and only obediently complied after Fang Zheng activated the code. The bow, however, had no such issue. Of course, it could only absorb the traits of ranged weapons—but that was already enough.
What was more, Akemi Homura had gotten quite a bargain.
Most of the weapons she used were level 1 in this world's setting, which meant Akemi Homura could directly fuse all the weapons she had stored into her bow and use them immediately.
Of course, not everything could be used. Things like rockets and missiles could not be absorbed by the bow. Fang Zheng did not know whether it considered them outside the category of "ranged weapons" or whether there was some other reason.
But overall, the traits of most weapons could still be used.
Because of this, Akemi Homura quickly became familiar with the bow and rapidly put it to use in actual combat. By the end of the day, she had raised her level all the way to fifteen by herself.
Normally, there should have been a debuff where Four Holy Heroes could not gain experience if they were too close
