"How is the progress so far?"
Standing by the porthole and looking at the metal structures outside, Fang Zheng asked. Iona, standing behind him, immediately answered.
"The Stargate is currently thirty-five percent complete. It will need a little more time."
"Take it slow. We need to stabilize order within the cluster first."
The Clover Cluster was quite far from other star clusters. If each star cluster were considered a stretch of land, then the Clover Cluster was like an isolated island surrounded by an ocean. At present, one of Fang Zheng's biggest problems was that he lacked advanced jump technology capable of crossing that ocean.
According to the Goddess of Order, the original goddesses had no need for anything like a Teleportation Gate, because the Order Clan was born with the ability to teleport directly to any location under order. Even crossing galaxies was merely a thought for the goddesses. However, Fang Zheng's fleet clearly did not possess such abilities. Although the Titans and Star Spirit Arks had similar projection and jump capabilities, recklessly projecting into unknown starfields was extremely dangerous.
Fortunately, Fang Zheng still possessed Interstellar Highway technology obtained from the Forerunners of Halo, as well as Mass Effect generator technology acquired from the Forerunners of Mass Effect. Once Little Angel integrated them using Xenappus technology, construction of the Stargate could begin. With the Stargate, a sturdy bridge could be built between the Clover Cluster and other clusters—like a bridge spanning the sea.
Fang Zheng's current plan was to first restore the defensive lines within the Clover Cluster. There were eighteen stars within the Clover Cluster, and the Goddess of Order had built Order Barrier shields around four of them. Naturally, due to years without maintenance, those barrier systems were basically crippled or only half-functional.
Which meant... Fang Zheng
