Landolko and Noft, who had been fighting on the front lines, were both startled by Fang Zheng's command. Landolko frowned and turned to glare at Fang Zheng in displeasure.
"What are you thinking? Those barriers are about to give out. If we don't hurry up..."
"There's no need. You'd better stay farther away from there, so you don't get caught in the crossfire."
What did he mean?
Landolko froze for a moment at Fang Zheng's words. Just as she was about to question him, the world around her suddenly darkened. She instinctively looked up at the sky, and then her entire body stiffened.

Within Landolko's field of vision, an incomparably massive presence, as huge as a small mountain, emerged from the clouds and rapidly descended. Its enormous body blotted out the entire sky, so completely that even the sun's rays could not penetrate it. At the same time, Fang Zheng's voice reached Landolko's ears.

A succession of golden beams suddenly erupted from that terrifying, colossal steel construct. They howled across the sky and shot toward the land before them. Beneath that dazzling radiance, the earth began to tremble and collapse. The hard ground shattered with ease, and merciless, brilliant beams swept across it, wiping out those writhing, twisted beasts completely.
What had happened? What was this? What was going on?
Landolko could no longer hear anything. Only deafening bombardments echoed through her mind, shaking even her heart into pounding violently. It was not until someone grabbed her hand that Landolko snapped out of her spellbound state. Only then did she realize that she had somehow ended up sitting on the ground.
