Fang Zheng hummed a tune as she stepped off the train, and the others followed after her. They were all curious—what could Red Ponytail possibly do about this forest that they had failed to destroy even after giving it everything they had?
Although Senka and Akiha had both told them that Red Ponytail was extremely powerful, hearing about it was one thing and seeing it for themselves was another. After all, they had never witnessed it firsthand.
Olga Marie was curious as well. She was equally doubtful of Red Ponytail's strength. In Olga Marie's eyes, Red Ponytail was only a year or two older than her. Even if she was strong... surely she could not be that strong.
So everyone stood behind Red Ponytail and watched as she hummed her way out of the carriage, stretched lazily, then raised her right hand and summoned a scarlet Greatsword, lifting it high overhead.
Then blazing flames shot into the sky, transforming into a forty-meter greatsword that came crashing down.
In an instant, everything around them was completely swallowed by fire.
It was like the end of the world. Everywhere they looked, raging flames and sparks danced through the air. The sturdy trunks were consumed by the inferno in the blink of an eye, and heat nearly as intense as midsummer rushed toward them, dispelling the freezing cold.
Then Fang Zheng raised her greatsword again, and the flames spiraled back into it. In the blink of an eye, they vanished without a trace.
All that remained around them was a field of charred wreckage.
Even those blackened remnants disappeared into the air like a mirage less than three seconds later. Soon, the original earth and wilderness reappeared, and at the same time, the train whistle sounded.
