On Coruscant, the capital of the Galactic Empire, Fang Zheng met with the Galactic Empire's emperor, the legendary ultimate mastermind, Palpatine.
In truth, the meeting between the two sides had gone far more pleasantly than expected.
As wielders of the Dark Force, Palpatine and Darth Vader had naturally sensed the immensely powerful force within Fang Zheng. Since Palpatine worshipped power, he obviously would not put on airs before Fang Zheng. Thus, their exchange went smoothly—at least on the surface.
Fang Zheng wanted Palpatine to grant him access to the Empire's historical Research Documents concerning the Force. He was certain that the Force of this world was somehow connected to the Goddess of Order, and as both the emperor of the Galactic Empire and a master of the Dark Force, Palpatine was bound to possess such records.
In return, Fang Zheng would help Palpatine suppress the corrosion inflicted upon him by the dark side of the Force, while also providing the Empire with a certain degree of technical support in its campaign against the Rebel Army.
"The power of darkness truly is formidable."
Walking down the broad corridor and gazing at the boundless stars beyond the windows, Fang Zheng could not help but sigh.
"When we gaze into the stars and see the endless darkness of the universe, we may indeed submit to it in admiration. But that is not a reason to kneel. Light and darkness are merely forms of order. Without light, there would be no darkness; without darkness, light could not reveal itself either."
With that, Fang Zheng looked at Palpatine beside him.
