The reason President Shindora drove Hiroki to his death was that Hiroki had extracted DNA from the knife Jack the Ripper supposedly left behind and traced his ancestry, confirming that President Shindora was related by blood to Jack the Ripper. President Shindora panicked, drove Hiroki to his death, and then killed the designer who had obtained the DNA analysis program.
But in Fang Zheng's eyes... that was just incredibly stupid.
That knife was only rumored to have been left behind by Jack the Ripper. Could it not have been passed down through President Shindora's family by an ancestor? Maybe one of his ancestors had gone through an edgy phase and claimed the dagger was left by Jack the Ripper. For all anyone knew, that ancestor might have used it to cut apples.
Besides, Jack the Ripper had never been caught and had left behind no evidence whatsoever. A single piece of evidence proved nothing. Without anything to compare it against, how could anyone claim it belonged to Jack the Ripper? Were they supposed to have him jump out of his grave and admit it himself?
That alone convinced Fang Zheng that President Shindora definitely was not descended from Jack the Ripper. If Jack the Ripper had been that stupid, the police would have caught him long ago.
