The ordinarily dressed man did not seem to notice that someone was following him. On the contrary, he strolled along leisurely, while Fang Zheng followed behind with Mira, disguised as a couple.
"Why are we following this man?"
Looking at the man ahead, Mira asked curiously.
"Simple. He's very likely connected to the organizers of the protest."
Fang Zheng leaned close to Mira's ear and explained in a low voice.
"This man kept watching from the edge of the crowd, but he neither shouted nor called out. Obviously, he was observing the reaction caused by this demonstration so he could report back to whoever was behind him... Well, that's only my guess."
"So you don't know either? What if you followed the wrong person? Wouldn't we just be wasting our time?"
"Don't worry. We'll know soon enough whether we got the right person."
Not long after Fang Zheng finished speaking, the man suddenly turned into an alley. Fang Zheng wrapped an arm around Mira and followed him in. However, before they had even taken three steps into the alley, two pistols were suddenly pressed against the backs of their heads from either side.
"Don't move!"
With an angry shout, two men dressed in black, who looked like bodyguards, stepped out from the side. The man Fang Zheng and Mira had been following reappeared before them with a smile.
"I never expected rats to be following me. Who are you people? You don't look like reporters... Don't tell me you're royal spies."
"See?"
However, Fang Zheng did not answer his question. Instead, he looked at Mira and shrugged.
"Didn't we follow the right person after all? If he had nothing to hide, why would he bring two bodyguards to deal with us? Don't you think?"
"You..."
The man's expression changed slightly
