This had once been the site of the old city hall and the Artificial Island Management Company, but it had now been completely cleared out. The entire building looked like a massive gemstone palace, a magnificent castle enclosed by transparent glass walls.
Now, this beautiful palace had been abandoned, yet it had lost none of its former splendor.
Airi followed Zacharias into the castle and soon saw six ice coffins beneath the glass ceiling. They were exactly like the Number Twelve ice coffin Airi had seen in the ruins before, and identical-looking girls slept inside them. However, Airi could sense dense magical power emanating from them.
At the center of those coffins was a gray-haired girl encased in crystalline gemstone.
"Welcome to the Feast of Blazing Light, Miss Airi."
Zacharias stopped walking, then suddenly turned around and gave Airi an elegant bow. When he raised his head again, his former middle-aged face had transformed into that of a gray-haired teenage boy.
That face-changing trick was pretty good.
Airi merely watched him quietly, a smile on her face without the slightest change in expression. Zacharias took a step back and grinned at her.
