"Open fire!!"
Angelica was decisive. The instant Airi finished speaking, she gave the order without hesitation. Then the bald, muscular men beside her suddenly flung open their trench coats like flashers, pulled out submachine guns and pistols, aimed them at Airi, and pulled the triggers.
For a moment, gunfire erupted.
Hundreds, perhaps thousands, of bullets shot toward Airi. Yet when they reached her, they seemed to enter water, gradually slowing before stopping in midair. It looked much like the scene in The Matrix where Neo awakened and stopped the agents' bullets, but for Airi, this was clearly far easier.
"Is that all?"
As the gunfire faded, Airi tilted her head and looked at the people before her. With her movement, the bullets floating in front of her clattered to the floor. At that moment, the soldiers' expressions changed slightly as they braced themselves for an enemy.
