It was a small town nestled deep in the mountains of the Empire's north, famous for its hot springs. Located on a branch of the Eisingert mountain range, it was, simply put, at high latitude and high altitude.
So, in plain terms...
"Waaaaaahhhhh!!!!"
Accompanied by Alisa's scream, the howling black beast burst through the snow and raced up the mountain road. They had not really felt it back in Regram, but here, the frigid weather and white snow once again proved one thing—winter had arrived.
"Wow, snow!"
Tita pressed herself against the window, staring at the falling snowflakes outside in wonder.
"You can't see this in Liberl."
"Liberl's basically tropical, after all."
Fang Zheng casually replied as he spun the wheel, sending the armored vehicle drifting across the ice. Most of Liberl lay in the tropics, so snow was naturally impossible there. Crossbell was in the subtropics, while even within the Erebonian Empire, only areas north of the imperial capital belonged to the subarctic and frigid zones.
"We're having a snowball fight and building a snowman!!"
Ling happily raised her hand and began arranging their plans.
But someone was completely incapable of appreciating the beautiful scenery.
"Mr. Fang Zheng, watch outttt!!! Ahead, ahead—we're going to fall!! Waaaaahhh!!"
Amid Alisa's screams, the pitch-black armored vehicle shot straight off the mountain road, barreling down the uneven slope. Then, beside a frozen lake, it made a sharp turn. The entire vehicle skidded sideways before abruptly stopping at the edge of the ice, coming to a steady halt.
Before the vehicle had even fully stopped, Alisa scrambled out and plunged headfirst into a snowbank, unwilling to move another inch.
"I-I thought I was going to die... I really thought I was going to die..."
"Relax. With me here, how
