If this had been some kind of magic-related situation, he might have guessed that a certain antique possessed mysterious power and could only be activated by a specific person—just like in The Mummy. But if he was right, this was merely a rebellion by mitochondrial cells... Did this woman have some sort of appreciation for the humanities?

AYA gripped the steering wheel tightly as she drove. After a brief silence, she suddenly spoke.
"I... used to have an older sister named Maya."

"I don't remember much about her. I only know that there was an accident when I was little, and then she and my mother left me... But I have no idea what actually happened back then.
