To be honest, Kirk was completely dumbfounded as he looked at Fang Zheng and the two girls before him.
This was the interstellar age. Everyone had long since grown accustomed to using ranged weapons. The Enterprise crew's standard equipment, for example, was the Phase Gun. This pistol had two settings: stun and kill.
As for cold weapons?
Did anyone still use those things...?
Even if they did, they wouldn't use them on a battlefield like this, right? What use could such weapons possibly have in modern warfare?
But before Kirk could say anything else, Fang Zheng turned and left with the two girls. Before Kirk even had time to call out, they had vanished around the end of the corridor.
"No choice. We can only proceed according to plan for now."
Fang Zheng moved even faster than Kirk had expected. They had only just arrived at the designated location and had not even had time to assess the situation when a shrill alarm rang out. Then Kirk watched a large group of fully armed soldiers rush out of the room and hurry toward the other side.
"Will they really be okay?"
Watching those aliens leave, Kirk looked deeply uneasy. There were more than a hundred of them, while Fang Zheng's side had only three people. No matter how he looked at it, there was no way they could stop an attack from that many enemies. Why would they make such a seemingly suicidal choice?
Just as Kirk began to waver, Spock spoke again beside him.
"Now is the opportunity, Captain. If we do not act quickly, it will be too late."
"Understood, Spock."
Kirk clenched his teeth and gripped his pistol tightly.
"Follow me!!"
With that, Kirk leaped out and charged toward the enemy camp ahead.
Meanwhile, on the battlefield
