"What the hell did you do?!"

When Kirk entered the interrogation room again, he could not even be bothered to maintain basic politeness. He grabbed Diana by the collar and glared at her viciously. The reason this young man had lost his composure was simple: after learning that contact with Earth had been cut off, he immediately contacted Yorktown Space Station. To his shock, Earth was not the only place in trouble. Several colonies had already encountered problems, and many places had become completely unreachable. Starfleet itself was in utter chaos, with no idea what had happened.

"I told you already. It's too late."

Diana merely sneered at Kirk, then glanced at Spock standing beside him.

"Starfleet's approach is wrong. Humanity—only humanity—is the master of the universe! Yet you, you abandoned your mission and actually consorted with these aliens! No weapons, no strength, just trying to achieve your goals through negotiation! Ridiculous. Foolish! Human history is a history of war!"

"That was the Dark Ages! This is a new era now, not the past!"

"That is nothing more than your delusion. All aliens are our enemies."

Diana remained completely unmoved.

"Human civilization should ascend to a higher level, rather than mingle with a group of Alien Creatures as it does now. Our enemies are not merely the Klingons. Can you guarantee that the Vulcans will never betray us one day? They are just like the Romulans! Humanity can only rely on humanity in the end!"

Well, another Cerberus.

Fang Zheng shrugged. He was not particularly surprised. Racial differences existed in every civilization, and the saying that those not of our kind must harbor different intentions had been passed down by the ancestors for thousands of years for a reason. There was also a human-supremacist organization in the Mass Effect world.
