If there was one thing students hated most, inspections by higher-ups definitely ranked at the top.
Sometimes, when officials came to inspect, students had to scramble around under their teachers' prodding to give the entire school a thorough cleaning. Not only did it exhaust them half to death and take up their after-school break time, but the most depressing part was that the officials might not even enter the next day. They would just stroll around the corridors once before going off to eat and drink.
So all their effort from the day before was basically wasted.
And that was still the better outcome. The worst was when superiors wanted to suck up to their bosses. Then the students were truly doomed.
Just like now.
It could be said that although every school publicly expressed support for this joint school festival, most people secretly hated it enough to grind their teeth.
The reason was simple. The joint school festival was being held, but that did not mean their own school festivals would be canceled. In other words, every school had to hold school festivals in two locations at the same time.
That alone would have been manageable, but the school leaders also demanded that they handle both sides properly. Their reasoning was simple: the joint school festival was meant to showcase the schools' charms to the public. Once people became interested in a school, they would naturally want to visit it. If the school's own festival was a complete disaster, then wouldn't all the preparations made for the joint school festival have been for nothing?
Of course, that logic made sense. But for the student council presidents of each school, it was all smiles on the outside and MMP on the inside. Privately, they wanted nothing more than to dig
