Mea Kurosaki's Thoughts (Starting Tomorrow, the Temperature Will Drop Again-Rolling Around)
Although there had been a few minor mishaps along the way, everyone ultimately enjoyed a happy meal together—though someone might very well be left with psychological trauma because of it. That was none of Fang Zheng's concern.
Afterward, the group said their goodbyes and left. Fang Zheng yawned as he leisurely headed home.
Just as he was leaving the bustling streets, he accidentally ran into someone.
"My, Senior. I never expected to run into you here."
"Mea?"
Fang Zheng narrowed his eyes at the red-haired girl with braided hair standing before him.
"What are you doing here?"
"I was bored, so I came out for a stroll."
Although Mea Kurosaki wore an expression as innocent and harmless as ever, her outfit clearly was not. She was not wearing her Sainan school uniform, but a black skintight combat suit similar to Xiao An's. She smiled at Fang Zheng as if they had merely bumped into each other on the street.
"What's with that?"
"This is my true form, you know, Senior."
Mea Kurosaki stepped forward and stopped in front of Fang Zheng.
"Not Mea Kurosaki, but Mea—the transforming weapon."
"...You seem to be in a bad mood."
Although Mea Kurosaki acted very relaxed, Fang Zheng would not overlook the agitation and unease in her voice. At his question, Mea Kurosaki fell silent for a moment before turning around and walking ahead.
"Senior, I just don't understand why Sister Xiao An chose to live this way. Does she think that by doing so, she'll become human? We're weapons. Shouldn't we act like weapons?"
"What do you mean, act like weapons?"
Fang Zheng shrugged and followed her. He had just finished dinner anyway, and taking a walk to help digest was not a bad idea.
"Fighting, killing, destruction, devastation—those are a weapon's duties."
