Fang Zheng drove into the small town and pulled over by the roadside. Then he turned around and looked at the three girls in the back.
"All right, we're here. Time for you brats to get out. Whether you head to the Pachi village or go home from here is your own business."
"Home?"
Upon hearing Fang Zheng, the lively-looking girl suddenly sprang up as though something had provoked her.
"What home do we have left?! It was humans, those hateful humans! They took everything from us! Where else can we go besides Lord Ye Wang's side?!"
After saying that, the girl suddenly crouched down as if all the air had gone out of her.
"But even Lord Ye Wang abandoned us..."
"..."
The other two girls said nothing, but they looked equally dispirited. In truth, they had no idea where they could go or what they could do now... after all, they had nowhere left to go.
"What a pain."
Looking at the three girls, Fang Zheng snorted and pulled a business card from his pocket before tossing it over.
"If you really have nowhere to go, go here. Call the number on it, and someone will arrange work for you. Go if you want. If not, forget it."
It was not as if Fang Zheng had no organization backing him. He was now the Captain of Special Section One of the Countermeasures Headquarters. Unfortunately, this Special Section One consisted of only him, a bare-bones commander, plus Sayu as his assistant. If anything happened to Fang Zheng, he would not be able to complete the assignments Date gave him.
Like now: although Fang Zheng had gone to participate in the Psychic Battle, Date was still busy hunting down Ghouls. Though those Ghouls had fled Tokyo, they were still hiding
