Passing through streets buried beneath yellow sand, Fang Zheng entered a nearby underground district.
This had once been an underground Shopping District, but it had clearly been abandoned. The shop windows were all battered and broken, and there was no one around. At the entrance to the underground passage stood a bald, red-skinned oni holding a spear. The moment it saw Fang Zheng arrive, its eyes widened.
"Who are you? This is Mandala territory! Get lost while you still know what's good for you!!"
Yet Fang Zheng merely glanced at the red oni before snorting coldly.
"Get lost!"
The next moment, the red oni flew backward as if struck by something, smashing straight into the wall. Its body then broke apart and dissipated, vanishing into the air without a trace. Fang Zheng continued onward, passing through the corridor and arriving before Mandala's headquarters.
"Hmm... this place really does look the part."
Standing at the foot of the stairs and looking at the building before him, Fang Zheng could not help but nod. He had no idea what method these demons had used to renovate the building inside and out. Dozens of black braziers stood on either side of the stairs, blazing fiercely and illuminating Mandala's entrance so brightly that it looked like the headquarters of some Church of Light. The doors themselves were designed like the stone entrance to a tomb... full of ancient-ruin style. Anyone who did not know better might think this was some ancient temple ruin from Tomb Raider.
He had no idea how these demons had made the place so bizarre.
"Who dares trespass into Mandala?!"
Just as Fang Zheng was marveling at the place, the doors opened. A man wearing armor, a cape, and a helmet strode out, a hammer in his hand. When he
