Although Katou Kirin had lost to Julie in their previous duel, she was unwilling to accept it. Fang Zheng could understand that, because Julie's finishing move had been the high-speed technique he taught her—Shrinking Ground.
Like Gatotsu, the move had originally come from Seto Soujiro in Rurouni Kenshin, but Fang Zheng had not copied the original exactly. Just as he had modified Saito Hajime's Gatotsu, Shrinking Ground merely borrowed the name of that technique.
It wasn't as if Saito Hajime or Soujiro could cross dimensions to demand royalties from him.

Katou Kirin had wanted to learn it back then too, but she had been too young, and her body had not yet developed enough to withstand the recoil of Shrinking Ground. So Fang Zheng had told her he would teach her when she was older.
