"So, you see? I told you this was meaningless."
Standing before Ernest once again, Fang Zheng let out a lazy yawn. Ernest was now covered in wounds, wearing a bitter smile.
"That's team competition for you. One wrong move leads to more wrong moves. Still, I suppose this counts as a lesson."
That was right. This final had been lost the moment Ernest decided to attack Priscilla first.
Priscilla was no fool. The instant Team Lancelot changed targets, she immediately cast shields over herself and Fang Zheng, then transformed from a priest into an MT and drew their aggro. At the same time, Hotaka Gya, Julie, and Irene, relying on their shields, fearlessly locked onto Ernest and launched their counterattack.
Ernest's two fists could hardly contend with four hands, much less when all three of them were shielded. He simply could not break through their defenses. Caught off guard, his school emblem was shattered by their combined assault. Since Ernest, the captain, had had his emblem destroyed, Team Lancelot was naturally declared defeated.
Throughout the entire match, Fang Zheng had merely watched the show and had not even made a move.
It had to be said that Priscilla was the biggest highlight of the final. Since she had always stood in the back, both the commentators and many reporters had assumed that Fang Zheng had probably recruited her just to fill out the roster. In their eyes, this team, assembled less than a month ago, would likely have to rely on Fang Zheng's overwhelming individual strength to win the championship.
Yet unexpectedly, aside from performing a Musical Duel against Rusalka out of personal interest, Fang Zheng had basically loafed around in the back and watched the spectacle.
Of course, that did not mean Fang Zheng's presence was meaningless. After all,
