The land was utterly barren.

As far as the eye could see, the ground before them was a yellow Gobi desert. Aside from the occasional scattered patch of grass or shrubbery, there was nothing.

"This place is really desolate."

Looking at the wilderness before him, Fang Zheng could not help but sigh.

"There's nothing here... Is this really the Dark Continent? Didn't they say it was a place overrun by demons and monsters?"

Katima was equally surprised. Based on what Fang Zheng had told her, she had always imagined this place to be something like a living hell. She had not expected there to be nothing here at all.

"That's not strange. The Hunter Association's records are antiques from centuries ago. Anything could have happened over several hundred years. Maybe some natural disaster or man-made calamity flattened the whole place."

"Beep-boop...!"

Just then, a signal appeared on the radar. Fang Zheng glanced at it and smiled.

"Well, it looks like this trip hasn't been completely fruitless. The radar detected sonic activity. It probably isn't an earthquake... We'll know once we go take a look."

Under Fang Zheng's control, the airship quickly changed course and continued forward. Before long, a massive city appeared before Fang Zheng and Katima.

"What a beautiful city."

Looking down at the city from the sky, Katima could not help but marvel. The city was simply enormous. Its outskirts were enclosed by towering, thick walls that stretched all the way to the far side of the horizon. What was more, unlike an ordinary city, the walls even contained hills, forests, rivers, and lakes. It was completely different from the barren, dried-up wilderness outside.

"I liked doing that when I played Age of Empires too."
