Seeing this, Mikasa curiously walked over to one of the soldiers and reached out to touch him. To her surprise, her hand passed straight through the soldier, startling her into hurriedly pulling it back. Yet the soldier seemed completely unaware, remaining kneeling there with his head lowered, utterly motionless.
