How Long Had It Been?

To the humans of Edge of Tomorrow, it felt as though they had merely had a dream. Just yesterday, they had been discussing when those terrifying Alien Creatures would leave Earth. Yet when they woke up, they were astonished to find that the enormous Zerg army had silently vanished without a trace. Even the Creep that had covered the ground had completely receded. When Wang Dong, the glasses-wearing woman, and the others hurried to the Zerg base they had visited before after receiving the news, they found nothing there but an empty city.

"Whew... Finally got that sorted out."

Watching the Leviathan vanish into space, Fang Zheng wiped the cold sweat from his forehead. Frankly, convincing Milune to leave Earth had taken quite a bit of effort. The Zerg might look down on humans, but they still needed to develop. If Fang Zheng had not been carrying Kerrigan's Soul Stone, Milune would probably have completely occupied Earth and turned it into a Zerg base long ago.

But it had not come without a price.

"Forget it. I'll go back and rest first, then figure it out..."

Casting his troubles behind him, Fang Zheng shrugged. Then he reached out, and the Dimensional Codex swiftly appeared in his hand once more. Rings of light emerged from thin air and enveloped him. Then he vanished within them without a trace.

Just as before, Fang Zheng did not immediately return to the Main World. After leaving Edge of Tomorrow, he once again arrived in that blank white space. Soon, the system evaluation list appeared again and began spinning rapidly.
