The forest was pitch-black at night.

Fang Zheng raised his head, but he could see only dark silhouettes in the distance; he could not even see the sky. Other than the small campfire beside them, everything around them seemed to have been swallowed by darkness.

Fang Zheng had not chosen to spend the night at the camp. It was littered with corpses and could easily attract wild beasts. He was also worried that the other side might have companions; if they sensed something was wrong and came to search the area, it would be dangerous. Thus, after leaving the camp, Fang Zheng found a cave halfway up the mountain to serve as a temporary campsite.

After following those Cultists all day, the two of them were exhausted. After drinking some water and eating a little dry rations, Fina leaned against a nearby rock and fell asleep. Fang Zheng remained at the cave entrance, admiring the night outside. Before long, however, he saw a streak of blue fly through the air before landing in front of him.

"Master, reconnaissance complete. Everything is normal in the surrounding area. There is no danger."

"Thanks, Nymph. Come rest for a while too."

Looking at the blue-haired Little Angel before him, Fang Zheng smiled as he spoke. Upon hearing him, Nymph cautiously glanced around before sitting respectfully on a rock not far from him.

"Want something to eat?"

As he spoke, Fang Zheng flipped his hand, and a bottle of soda and a bag of chips appeared in it. Fang Zheng did not have equipment like a "spatial bag," but fortunately, Dimension Mages came with their own Storage Space.
