Gu Yi used the Myriad Worlds Gate to begin cultivating in Nine Heavens Continent while enrolling at Nuoding Academy and changing events around Tang San and Xiao Wu for Source Power. After strengthening himself and preparing for a first Soul Ring, he entered the Star Dou Great Forest and found a cave inhabited by Blood Crystal Bats.

• Gu Yi awakened his Blood Martial Soul with Innate Full Soul Power, discovered his second Body Martial Soul and the Myriad Worlds Gate, then traveled to a newly connected world.
• In Nine Heavens Continent, Old Hunter Mu Hu took Gu Yi in, taught him martial arts, and helped him cultivate the Iron Blood Malice Art alongside his Douluo training.
• Gu Yi reached the first level of the Qi Martial Realm, traveled to Nuoding City, and met Yu Xiaogang, Tang San, and Xiao Wu during the gatekeeper’s death and their academy registration.
• Gu Yi defeated Tang San, Xiao Wu, and the other Seven Dormitory students, then challenged Nuoding Academy students and defeated all 203 of them.
• After Tang San returned with his first Soul Ring, Gu Yi beat him again and won permission to study Yu Xiaogang’s books, while Tang Hao watched but chose not to intervene.
• Gu Yi sold his pocket watch to buy Whale Rubber, moved into a courtyard with Xiao Wu, and gave Mu Hu glassmaking and distilling methods that earned them money.

• Gu Yi rode Thousand-Mile Snow into the forest, fought off several Soul Beasts, and found a cave belonging to a group of Blood Crystal Bats.

Gu Yi expanded his strength across the Douluo, Dou Qi, and Jade Dynasty worlds, gaining new techniques, alchemy skills, and a powerful soul bone. After reaching the Spirit Martial Realm and bringing Qing Lin between worlds, he traveled with Xiao Wu and Qing Lin toward Shrek Academy.

• Gu Yi killed a 2,400-year-old Blood Crystal Bat, absorbed its soul ring, and learned Blood Refinement before Liu Canglan took him north and accepted him as a disciple.
• After training under Liu Canglan, Gu Yi joined the Cloud Sea Sect, then entered the Dou Qi world and found the cave containing the Purifying Lotus Demonic Flame Fragment Map and Purple Cloud Wings.
• Gu Yi absorbed Purple Cloud Wings, awakened Blood Flame, and studied alchemy under Fa Ma, while advancing across three worlds and reaching level 49 as a Four-Ring Soul Ancestor.
• In the Jade Dynasty world, Gu Yi refined the Blood-Devouring Pearl and Soul-Devouring Staff into the Blood Soul Spear, then returned to Maple Leaf Village and secretly strengthened its children.
• Gu Yi retrieved Ah Yin’s Hundred-Thousand-Year Blue Silver Emperor Soul Bone, absorbed it, and reached the Spirit Martial Realm as his Blood and Bone Martial Souls awakened to Gold grade and fused at their origins.
• Gu Yi traveled to Suotuo City with Xiao Wu and Qing Lin, watched a Great Soul Arena fight, and left to practice spear techniques before they headed toward Shrek Academy.

Gu Yi challenged Shrek Academy, fought Tang Hao, and gained a new Soul Ring before securing the Ice and Fire Yin Yang Well and strengthening himself there. As he prepared for the next stage of his cultivation, the Clear Sky Sect and Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Sect began moving to track him down.

• Gu Yi challenged Shrek Academy and defeated Zhao Wuji, revealing his four powerful Soul Rings and his level fifty cultivation.
• Tang Hao attacked Gu Yi, but Gu Yi fought back, poisoned him with Elder Yun’s venom, and pursued him until he died in the forest.
• Gu Yi reassured Xiao Wu that he knew her secret and considered her family, then declined Ning Rongrong’s recruitment offer and Zhu Zhuqing’s request for training.
• Gu Yi obtained a Ghost Tiger Soul Ring, tested Blood Shadow on Tang Hao’s corpse, and refined a Man Faced Demon Spider into the Eight Spider Lances.
• Gu Yi reached the Ice and Fire Yin Yang Well, defeated Dugu Bo with Blood Shadow No. 1, and traded poison remedies for control of the medicinal garden.
• Gu Yi refined pills and prepared to use the well’s Immortal Herbs while Tang San told the Clear Sky Sect that Gu Yi had killed Tang Hao and urged them to seek revenge.
• Gu Yi swallowed the Yin Yang Limitless Pill and a Bone Tempering Spirit Blood Pill, tempered himself in the well, and emerged at Level 59 Soul King and Third Layer Spirit Martial Realm.

Gu Yi killed Tang San and the Clear Sky Sect elders, claimed the Green Lotus Core Flame, and gained a Million-Year Soul Ring while pursuing Asura trials. He returned to the Nine Heavens Continent, uncovered the Buddha-Devil inheritance, and rescued Lin Feng, whose body was later joined by a soul from another world.

• Gu Yi killed Tang San, Tang Xiao, and three Clear Sky Sect elders, raised five fallen fighters as Blood Shadow Puppets, and formed an alliance with Dugu Bo to establish the Cloud Sea Sect.
• Gu Yi retrieved and refined the Green Lotus Core Flame, advanced his cultivation, and defeated the Blue Silver King to gain his sixth Soul Ring and Life Absorption skill.
• Gu Yi entered the City of Slaughter, killed its inhabitants and the Ten Headed Fierce Yang Serpent, and passed through the Road to Hell to gain Divine Slaughter's Domain.
• Gu Yi completed the Asura God's second and third trials, cultivated for four months, and gained a Million-Year seventh Soul Ring and Blood Sea True Body.
• Gu Yi created a Blood Shadow Avatar to conceal his departure, transformed Qing Lin and Xiao Wu for the Nine Heavens Continent, and returned with them to the Cloud Sea Sect.

• Gu Yi named Xue Linglong Gu Qingcheng and brought her to the Cloud Sea Sect, where he rescued Lin Feng from the outer disciples who were beating him.
• Lin Feng fled toward Yangzhou City, but Lin Heng caught him and drove him off a cliff, after which a soul from another world merged with Lin Feng's body and began healing him.
